Resolution on Education
WHEREAS, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women believes that African American women are entitled to the right to master the technologies needed to participate in the current and future workforce of society; and
WHEREAS, NCBW wants to ensure that educational institutions develop processes and procedures that provide access to African American women for continued training and higher education; and
WHEREAS, educational systems should be encouraged to develop and promote policies that ensure upward mobility of African American women with demonstrated skills and abilities; and
WHEREAS, African American women should be involved in all levels of educational policies and procedures that impact their families, as well as their communities.
BE IT RESOLVED, THEREFORE, that NCBW will advocate whenever there is an educational policy that impacts access to technological mastery for African American women.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that NCBW will advocate whenever there is an opportunity to advance African American women through the ranks of educational institutions.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that each NCBW chapter take action and advocate as it is appropriate to the resources of its chapter and the needs of its community.
